The EU, G7, and NATO summits in the summer of 2026 will be decisive for the war. Zelensky expects the opening of clusters regarding Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.

June and July 2026 may determine the future course of events concerning the war in Ukraine, particularly regarding decisions by the European Union, NATO, and G7 countries. This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during a media interaction with the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, as reported by UNN.
According to the head of state, the upcoming international summits are expected to be significant for strengthening support for Ukraine and advancing diplomatic initiatives.
The most important thing today is to prepare for the negotiations and decisions that we all expect from the summits at the level of the European Union, the Group of Seven, and NATO. June and July of this year could determine a great deal.
– emphasized Zelensky.
The President noted that one of the key objectives is to increase pressure on Russia and ensure Europe’s active role in future negotiations to end the war.
Europe needs a real strong voice in negotiations and to be among those who will make decisions. America is ready to actively engage in diplomatic processes. I discussed this yesterday with representatives of the President of the United States of America.
– said the Head of State.
Zelensky separately highlighted the importance of political decisions regarding Ukraine’s European integration.
Ukraine has done everything necessary to open all clusters in the negotiations regarding our future membership. It is precisely now, at the upcoming meetings, that the EU must make decisions on this matter. There are no obstacles, and it is important that this progress is made.
– stressed the President of Ukraine.
