The head of state called for more stringent sanctions against Russia due to strikes on civilian sites. Two individuals, including a child, perished as a result of a drone attack on a supermarket in Chernihiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Russian attacks on Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia, advocating for enhanced sanctions against Russia and increased support for Ukraine, reports UNN.

The Russians continue to ‘victoriously’ target ordinary civilian infrastructure. An absolutely cynical drone strike targeted a regular supermarket in Chernihiv. They struck at people without any military objective. As of now, thirteen individuals are reported injured. Sadly, two people have died, including a child. My condolences to their families and loved ones. All necessary services are currently working at the scene, providing assistance to the affected individuals.

Furthermore, according to the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, among the 13 injured due to the Russian drone hitting the ATB supermarket in Chernihiv, there were 4 men and 9 women.
Three individuals were hospitalized in moderate condition. Others received outpatient treatment and were discharged

Additionally, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Russian forces also carried out an airstrike with aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia.
