Rustem Umerov, who has been appointed as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, has announced his intention to strengthen international cooperation. He plans to implement the President’s strategic initiatives, specifically the Drone Deal and the Freya program.
Today, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has all the capabilities to become an even stronger instrument for protecting Ukraine’s national interests. This was stated on social media by the new head of the SVR, Rustem Umerov, reports UNN.

According to him, in recent years, Ukraine has managed to build extensive international ties with the United States, Great Britain, Norway, the European Union countries, the Middle East and the Gulf, Turkey, the states of the South Caucasus, and other partners.
This is a strong foundation for the further development of security, intelligence, and defense cooperation. In my new position, I will continue to work on this

He emphasized that the implementation of the President’s strategic initiatives – the Drone Deal, the Freya anti-ballistic missile program, and other international projects aimed at enhancing the defense and security capabilities of Ukraine and its partners – will remain a separate focus.
The team of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine deserves even greater opportunities to realize its potential. My task is to strengthen its capabilities, provide the necessary resources, and create all conditions for the most effective work
