According to Whittaker, Ukraine has become a “testing ground of the future,” as the war fuels rapid advancements in military innovation. He stressed that Ukrainian developments could be beneficial for strengthening the defense capabilities of the United States.
Innovations are happening very rapidly, and I am ensuring that the U.S. can not only partner and acquire these technologies, so they are available to us if and when we need them, but also look for ways to create some of these systems and technologies to help the American military. Particularly in the area of counter-drone. That is an area where I think we want to get stronger. I think we have excellent technologies of our own, but obviously, because of the ongoing hostilities, the developments are happening very quickly, and Ukraine can help us in several areas that are critically important for the defense of our troops and the most powerful military in the world, the United States.
