In the 67th minute, Eriksen clutched his chest and subsequently collapsed on the field. Consequently, the game was suspended for an extended period. Fortunately, the player regained consciousness after receiving medical attention, after which he was transported from the field by an ambulance.
During Euro 2020, Eriksen fainted directly on the pitch towards the end of the first half of the opening match between Denmark and Finland (0:1). The footballer’s heart stopped, but the medical team managed to save his life. Following this, he underwent a lengthy rehabilitation and returned to professional football, although he now plays with a pacemaker.
Christian is feeling well and walked off the field himself. In my opinion, the pacemaker worked as it should. He fainted briefly but quickly regained consciousness, and we quickly established contact with him. He will now undergo further examinations at the hospital to determine the cause of the incident. Christian is feeling well; he asked me to convey his greetings to all the players and tell them that he is okay.
